These modules will cover areas of hose, ladders, self-contained breathing apparatus, and personal protective equipment. The  material covered in this program will assist the firefighter working toward their FFI practical skills in the areas of hoses, breathing  apparatus, ladders, and personal protective equipment. An excellent “hands on” program that will be conducted in a limited  “live burn” atmosphere. It will refresh firefighters on the basics if not participating in the certification program. Students will be placed in a  variety of restricted and narrow passages while operating in zero visibility conditions.  ADVISORY: This training is  rigorous and should only be attempted by students in good physical condition. Beards and/or facial hair (except mustaches) will not be allowed in live burns.

Prerequsite:  Proof of Worker's Comp

Required equipment:Full personal protective clothing, SCBA, and a spare SCBA bottle.

The North Idaho Fire Chief’s Association understands that there are circumstances that are beyond our control and at times plans must be changed because of medical issues and or personal family matters.  If for some reason you cannot attend the course that you have registered for, you shall submit in written form the reason that you will not be able to attend the course, have your department chief or training officer sign the letter and submit this to the North Idaho Chiefs Association a.s.a.p.   The North Idaho Chief’s Association shall review each letter and make the determination to refund the registration fee or not.
